Senior Mining Engineer

SRK Consulting, a renowned global consulting firm, specializes in providing integrated services to the mining and metals industry. We are currently looking for a Senior Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will deliver expert technical support and specialized consulting services for underground mining initiatives, catering to both North American and international clientele. Responsibilities will encompass:

  • Contributing to comprehensive technical studies and due diligence assessments.
  • Providing operational assistance and overseeing project management tasks.
  • Fostering and nurturing a robust client network in conjunction with the Ontario mining division.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance technical expertise and industry insights.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least a decade of hands-on experience in underground operations or consulting.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in the relevant engineering field.
  • Expertise in Deswik or similar software applications.
  • A solid understanding of mineral project dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities in a team-oriented environment.
  • The capacity to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Eligibility for professional registration as a P.Eng.

This role involves collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, both domestically and internationally, with potential travel requirements.
