Senior Mining Engineer

SRK Consulting is a renowned, independent consulting firm specializing in providing comprehensive services to the global mining and metals industry.

We are currently in search of a Senior Mining Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will deliver expert technical support and specialized consulting services on underground mining initiatives for both North American and international clientele. Responsibilities will typically encompass contributions to technical assessments, due diligence, operational support, and project oversight. As a Mining Engineer, this role also involves the expectation to cultivate and sustain a client network in collaboration with the Ontario mining division. There will be opportunities and expectations for continuous enhancement of your technical expertise and industry insight to further support the SRK Ontario team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related discipline;
  • At least a decade of hands-on underground operational and/or consulting experience;
  • Advanced technical proficiency in the chosen engineering field;
  • Proficiency in Deswik or similar software;
  • Adequate understanding of the primary elements of mineral projects to identify study risks and opportunities;
  • Proven project management capabilities;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills;
  • Strong communication and leadership qualities while working within a team;
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships;
  • Registered or eligible for professional registration as P.Eng.

This role entails collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of projects both domestically and internationally; travel may constitute a significant aspect of the position.
