Position Overview

The Production Control Analyst will be an integral member of our professional team, reporting directly to the Team Leader. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of our automated systems, which manage the daily workload of our business processes. The successful candidate will oversee batch load management, monitor system health, and respond to incidents as they arise. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and executing batch environments while exploring automation enhancements and leveraging emerging technologies to optimize system operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and adjust the live environment to execute batch requests and modify the batch setup as necessary.
  • Maintain security protocols, requiring a minimum of five years residency in Canada, with a current status as a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
  • Assist with application upgrades and updates in the live environment, as well as support development environments.
  • Monitor the overall health of the live environment to proactively address issues before they impact service.
  • Support the incident management process by monitoring systems outside of regular service desk hours.
  • Execute batch processing using our scheduling tool.
  • Participate in on-call duties, including weekend and shift rotations.
  • Manage production print operations in a secure environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree focused on computer technology or related fields.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years in a live enterprise environment providing business services.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in UNIX or LINUX and Windows operating systems, with a keen interest in learning new technologies and software.
  • Language: Bilingualism is considered an asset.

Security Clearance
  • Successful candidates must obtain Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) prior to starting, which includes a criminal record check, credit check, and verification of residency in Canada for at least five years.
