Cathedral Energy Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Downhole Tool Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining, repairing, and assembling a diverse range of mechanical equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

As a Downhole Tool Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and reliability of field assets, minimizing the risk of operational disruptions. Your expertise will contribute directly to the success of our drilling operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform meticulous maintenance, repair, and assembly of prefabricated parts, transforming them into subassemblies or complete products using both hand and power tools.
  • Conduct a wide array of maintenance and repair activities, guaranteeing that equipment consistently meets stringent performance standards.
  • Carefully review work orders and equipment requisition details to ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, parts inventory, recurring issues or problems encountered, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Cultivate a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, prioritizing safety standards at all times.
  • Provide basic training on general maintenance procedures, repair techniques, and downhole tool assembly to junior personnel.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to quality control/assurance, taking pride in your workmanship and contributing to the reduction of field failures.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in automotive technology or as an automotive service technician is highly advantageous.
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and genuine enthusiasm for working with power tools and precision instruments.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and proven experience in maintaining equipment, tools, and inventory in an organized, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and precision instruments is preferred.
  • Be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and unwavering reliability.
  • Ability to thrive in a safety-sensitive environment and comply with pre-access and site-specific health and safety requirements, including fitness testing.
