Job Summary:
NOV is currently recruiting a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Nisku, AB. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing downhole tool dismantling, cleaning, inspection, assembling, testing, repairs, and other duties associated with our service center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely dismantle, clean, inspect, assemble, repair, test, and paint downhole tools per NOV standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure that all serviced tools are in acceptable working order and maintained/serviced per NOV procedures.
- Complete all necessary documentation and data entry during the service process.
- Perform equipment inspections as per required procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate to Management any issues with equipment, tools, inspections, and HSE concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong work ethic with multi-tasking abilities.
- Mechanical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with a desire to be a team player.
- Ability to work in a shop environment and conduct physical activities such as lifting, crouching, reaching, and standing for periods of time.
