Job Title: Associate Teacher, Junior School

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Teacher to join our Junior School team at Branksome Hall. The successful candidate will assist teachers with daily routines, supervision, and planning, and provide support to students in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, and provide support to students in a classroom setting.

  • Supervision: Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other designated times, and ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Co-Curricular Activities: Participate in co-curricular activities, such as sports, clubs, and events, and support the development of students' interests and talents.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities, and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.

  • Certification: Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent degree with Primary/Junior qualifications.

  • Experience: Prior classroom experience, with experience in French an asset.

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in relevant technology.
