Hotel Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to join our team at Podollan Grande Prairie Inn & Spa Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Hotel Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure smooth hotel operations and excellent guest experience.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate team members' performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Negotiate with clients to secure bookings and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to maintain financial stability.
  • Implement marketing activities to promote the hotel and attract new customers.
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and up-to-date.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive hotel growth and success.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient operations.
  • Manage events and conferences to ensure smooth execution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of hotel operations.
