Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pita Pit Collingwood. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and lead by example to inspire and motivate your team.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
