Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting and project management, with a focus on remediation and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and lead projects related to the management of environmental contaminants in soil, groundwater, and other media, including phased environmental site assessments (ESAs) and the Ontario Record of Site Condition (RSC) process.
  • Business Development: Respond to Requests for Proposal related to contaminated sites work to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Learning & Development: Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development. Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Designation: Designation as a Professional Engineer.
  • Education: A degree in environmental engineering or another relevant environmental or engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in environmental consulting or related industrial experience, including project management experience.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the required regulations governing contaminated sites and remediation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience managing multiple contaminated sites/ESA related projects of various overall project value.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with various remediation technologies and approaches in different media, working with contractors.
  • Understanding: Solid understanding of the Environmental Protection Act including regulations associated with brownfields, spills and excess soils.
