Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the Industrial Equipment sector, is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to take on a vital role within their organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources division, which encompasses employee relations, talent acquisition, comprehensive payroll management, and benefits coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete recruitment process, including crafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, conducting interviews, and performing reference checks.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate the integration of new employees.
  • Oversee payroll management and budget planning.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll efficiently.
  • Administer and oversee the company's benefits program.
  • Maintain and manage confidential employee records in compliance with provincial regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal standards, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) and handle employee separations.
  • Conduct year-end reconciliations, manage Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims, and prepare T4s as necessary.
  • Facilitate job creation and management, including conducting compensation analysis.
  • Lead investigations related to workplace issues and address employee relations matters as needed.
  • Research various Human Resources topics as requested.
  • Contribute to team cohesion by organizing staff events and other company gatherings.
  • Perform additional Human Resources and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Knowledge of multi-provincial payroll laws, employment regulations, and tax guidelines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality, empathy, and discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
