About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at HI-Beam Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Fills joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure stability and safety.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. You will be required to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
