About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Financial Crimes team at RBC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating requirement gathering sessions, leading meetings with stakeholders, and coordinating testing and training.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Produce detailed project artefacts, including project plans, use cases, and user acceptance test plans, working closely with project managers to recommend business solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
  2. Requirements Analysis: Lead the requirements analysis and gathering process, including facilitation of meetings, providing status updates, monitoring work stream deliverables and timelines, and reporting to project leadership.
  3. Issue Resolution: Investigate and mediate business and project issues, risks, and obtain consensus from applicable project stakeholders.
  4. Pilot Testing: Coordinate and manage pilot test groups, and product/process rollouts.
  5. Vendor Evaluation: Develop criteria for and participate in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software, as well as due diligence exercises.
  6. Project Implementation: Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time-efficient manner, monitoring and controlling activities according to plan.
  7. Risk Management: Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives, and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
  9. Stakeholder Management: Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services on medium to large projects using either Iterative Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  2. Skills: Proficiently in MS Office, Visio, and Teams.

  1. Business Acumen: Working background/experience with the major business segments of RBC, preferably in an Analyst capacity.
  2. Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
