Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Environmental Advisor to support our organization's commitment to environmental stewardship in Calgary, Alberta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive environmental policies and procedures, as well as providing expert advice and guidance on environmental matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate environmental performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize sustainability outcomes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate environmental risks and opportunities.
- Design and implement effective environmental management systems to ensure seamless operations and minimize environmental impact.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive environmental training programs to ensure employees are equipped to support environmental initiatives.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and community groups, to promote environmental awareness and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful environmental initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex environmental issues and develop effective solutions.
