Sustainability Specialist Job Description

At Recruitment Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive sustainability assessment of our facilities, identifying areas for improvement, and developing a long-term sustainability plan that aligns with our organization's goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a thorough sustainability assessment of our facilities, including energy and water usage, waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Develop a long-term sustainability plan that includes strategies for reducing energy consumption, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to identify opportunities for improving the sustainability of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement sustainability programs and initiatives that aim to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of our sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in ESG reporting, Greenhouse Gas Accounting, and/or conducting and reporting on Environmental and Climate Impact Assessments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop sustainability plans that align with our organization's goals and values.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including staff, leadership, and external partners.
