Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team at Acuity Brands. As a key member of our marketing department, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our global brand marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement corporate communication strategies to support business objectives
  • Manage public relations efforts, including key messaging, press releases, and Q&A documents
  • Promote and protect the reputation of our company and its product brands
  • Support internal clients with effective communication strategies to increase employer branding awareness
  • Create content for various internal and external communication tools, including speaking notes, corporate presentations, brochures, and digital assets
  • Coordinate review processes with internal stakeholders and external service providers
  • Develop messaging and materials for our sustainability program
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar communications role
  • Excellent writing skills in English and French
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to provide advice to internal clients and management
  • Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise manner for various audiences
  • Initiative and team spirit, with experience working in a remote environment
  • Sense of organization and priorities, with rigor and attention to detail
