About the Position

The Canadian Museum of Nature is seeking a Part Time Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Experience and Engagement department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors, clients, and members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to visitors, clients, and members, both in person and over the phone, in a proactive and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate, encourage, and lead Hosts to meet daily objectives.
  • Training and Monitoring: Assist in the training and monitoring of Hosts.
  • Problem Solving: Respond to and find positive and proactive solutions to address visitor complaints and issues.
  • Sales and Promotion: Sell and promote memberships and other museum products or activities.
  • Operations: Ensure implementation of procedures and attend to daily operations such as public inquiries and dissemination of museum and tourist information.
  • Communication: Collect comments from visitors and act as a point person and liaise with onsite manager on weekends and holidays.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of secondary school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language: English and French are essential. Bilingual Imperative: BBC/BBC.
  • Experience: Recent experience in coordinating daily operations related to visitor services, leading teams/groups, providing high-quality service to the public, promoting and selling products or services, handling money, and using Point-of-Sale (POS) software.
