As a Plant Manager, your mission is to foster a positive and collaborative environment within your business unit. To achieve this, you will:

  • Formulate and execute a strategic plan for your unit that aligns with its vision;
  • Ensure a healthy and safe workplace for all team members, promoting effective health management by setting OHS priorities and ensuring follow-up;
  • Establish and oversee OHS priorities that align with corporate goals;
  • Enhance operational efficiency within your unit while ensuring cost-effectiveness;
  • Implement standardized best practices across all activities within your unit;
  • Set performance benchmarks (availability, efficiency, FIT) in collaboration with the General Manager;
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to review KPIs, discuss progress, and initiate necessary action plans;
  • Support the execution of optimization initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, production management, or a related field;
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in management and manufacturing;
  • Ability to mentor and guide team members;
  • Possess leadership qualities and a collaborative spirit to inspire teams towards excellence;
  • Understand customer needs and challenges to develop solutions that enhance their experience;
  • Exhibit discernment to ensure effective follow-up and implementation of solutions while considering company priorities;
  • Demonstrate the ability to advocate effectively in challenging situations and garner support;
  • Strong communication skills, tact, and political acumen;
  • Ability to cultivate a customer-centric culture grounded in a human approach;
  • Proficiency with various technological tools and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems (an asset);
  • Fluency in both French and English to facilitate communication with our units and partners.
