Join Our Team as a Dispatcher

We are a dynamic organization seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dispatcher to become part of our successful team.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 6 pm

Location: Dawson

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes Health & Safety.
  • Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct, company policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Drivers to monitor and manage their working hours.
  • Comply with all Transportation Safety policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety programs and Cold Chain Assurance initiatives as directed by management.
  • Oversee inbound shipment ETAs to optimize operational efficiency and meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the operations team to assess equipment needs and scheduling.
  • Develop effective routing strategies to meet operational timelines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation related to shipments.
  • Maintain communication with Drivers to promote safe and compliant operations.
  • Coordinate resources involved in daily freight pick-up and delivery.
  • Assign appropriate Driver resources based on various logistical factors.
  • Keep Drivers informed of their locations to facilitate efficient scheduling.
  • Manage the collection and filing of internal paperwork from Drivers.
  • Communicate with relevant parties regarding any shipment delays.
  • Provide daily reports to supervisors regarding shipment statuses.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Handle inbound inquiries related to freight operations.
  • Provide coverage for dispatch functions as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with company values.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in scheduling or customer service.
  • Familiarity with working alongside company drivers and third-party carriers.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Logical thinking with the ability to synthesize information effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative work approach.
  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation preferred.
