Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager

Position: Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager
Department: Supply Chain Management
Type of position: Full-Time (6-month Contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized knowledge to stakeholder groups to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Oversee vendor partnerships and food safety initiatives.
- Lead project management efforts and conduct risk evaluations.
- Establish and uphold food safety protocols from production to consumption.
- Perform quarterly assessments and report on food safety performance indicators.
- Address urgent situations requiring operational intervention.
- Engage with health agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the Canadian division in global quality systems initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food sector.
- Familiarity with public health food handling regulations and certifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
