Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Edmonton. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and on-time product and service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attain excellence in learning and competency events to ensure proficiency in SLB products and services.
  • Ensure safe, timely, and compliant operations at customer job sites, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Operate valves, both manual and hydraulic, and perform repairs on SLB manufactured products, including valves, actuation, and control panels.
  • Lubricate and perform preventative maintenance on SLB equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with customers to troubleshoot issues related to SLB products and provide solutions to resolve problems.
  • Perform field work throughout Alberta and British Columbia, and shop work otherwise, as required.
  • Complete safety records and reports, and participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs.
  • Engage with customers to promote company products and services, and mentor others as required.
  • Meet the minimum educational requirements of a High School Diploma or GED, and possess 1-3 years of oilfield experience, with previous experience in wellhead installation being an asset.
  • Be a self-starter, mechanically inclined, and possess analytical thinking skills.
  • Hold a clean driving record with a full Class 5 non-GDL license, and be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of oilfield experience
  • Previous experience in wellhead installation (asset)
  • Self-starter, mechanically inclined, and analytical thinking skills
  • Clean driving record with full Class 5 non-GDL
  • Ability to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship
