We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids Zone Childcare Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Staff Supervision and Support
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Health and Safety
    • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
    • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
