Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Childventures Meadowvale Early Learning Academy Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our early childhood educators in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the play area, and preparing snacks and meals.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements:
  • Criminal record check and tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children.
