Job Summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturer and distributor to find a skilled Estimator for their Victoria branch. As a key member of the estimating team, you will be responsible for compiling and sending bids for tender requests and quoting opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review incoming bids from the general email box and ensure timely submission of bids.
  • Complete take-offs and accurately price projects using vendor software.
  • Review bid boards and be aware of bid closing dates to ensure timely submission.
  • Identify specialty products that require additional time for pricing and account for upcoming price increases.
  • Clearly state what is included and not included on bids and review all addendums associated with the project.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to review and finalize bids, and communicate with customers to maintain market awareness.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and consistently improve the quality of service to meet client expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest product developments and software tools through self-education and manufacturer training visits.
  • Represent the company at site meetings and assist in customer events as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience, with HVAC experience preferred but not required.
  • University degree or college diploma is preferred, with relevant HVAC experience considered.
  • Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful, with a professional approach to business and the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
