Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Part-Time Professor to teach a course on project planning and management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and development, with experience in teaching similar courses or relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a course on project planning and management, including topics such as project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling.
  • Use project management tools and techniques to manage projects and teams.
  • Identify and analyze factors that influence productivity and success.
  • Measure and analyze productivity and project performance.
  • Plan and manage changes to projects.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage versions and configurations of projects.
  • Implement process standards and develop processes for software development.
  • Manage contracts and intellectual property related to software development.
  • Develop and implement long-term development plans and strategies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or computer science.
  • Relevant work experience in project management and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to teach and communicate effectively with students and stakeholders.
