Job Description:

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Part-Time Professor to teach a course on programming languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and programming, with experience in teaching and curriculum development.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a course on programming languages, including design and evaluation criteria, syntax and semantics, and implementation principles.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Strong background in programming languages and computer science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

The Part-Time Professor will be expected to work on campus, teaching and developing course materials. The position is part-time, with a variable schedule.

Language of Instruction:

The language of instruction is French, with the possibility of teaching in English.
