Sun Life Financial is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join our team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders and business partners to determine high-impact work to be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the data-analytics intake process and ensure outcomes and success criteria from business partners are clear, understood, and communicated with the delivery teams.
  2. Articulate benefits and desired outcomes for data-analytics related initiatives.
  3. Prioritize, manage, and explain the backlog ensuring that workload is aligned with OKRs and intended outcomes.
  4. Manage the delivery of Work in Progress (WIP) to maintain consistency and balance.
  5. Be the foundation of the agile team, focusing on high-value work to drive data-based decision-making and strategy.
  6. Lead the team through agile ceremonies, including demonstrations, refinement, and review.
  7. Act as the voice of the client in the definition of product, owning all outcomes and incorporating feedback from business partners and research.
  8. Advocate for the business and client experience by owning issues and outcomes as they move the roadmap forward to completion.
Requirements
  1. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics, with an understanding of financial services, including Group Benefits, Individual Insurance, and Investments.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of agile methodologies and experience in leading an agile delivery team, particularly with Kanban and SAFe.
  3. Skilled in change management and experienced in Design Thinking methodologies.
  4. Strong collaboration skills and working with Cross-Business Unit partners to ensure roadmap alignment and delivery of desired capabilities.
  5. Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration.
  6. Great written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze options, understand compromises, and decide on the best approach.
  8. Analytical skills to develop or leverage reporting tools to measure performance of capabilities delivered.
  9. Inquisitive and constant learning mindset.
  10. Eligibility for enhanced reliability clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of Tableau and Salesforce.com.
  2. Knowledge of AWS.
