About the Role

Braze is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our internal-facing services and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Braze's engineering teams to architect products that effectively utilize infrastructure platforms in a scalable and reliable manner.
  • Debug reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers, including products built using our infrastructure platforms.
  • Develop Braze's internal platform infrastructure using Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Provide centralized/common tooling, services, and automation frameworks that are critical for scaling operations, capacity management, and reducing operational pain.
  • Manage incidents, including responding to availability incidents and providing support for other engineers.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Strong programming skills, with a preference for Ruby and/or Go.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar IaC technologies.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Postgres, or similar data technologies.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and expectations at once.
