Job Title: Senior Financial Planner - Centralized Planning Group

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planner to join our Centralized Planning Group at Scotia Wealth Management. As a Senior Financial Planner, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional financial planning experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive financial plans with varying levels of complexity in collaboration with regional advisors.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis of client data and create tailored financial planning proposals.
  3. Engage with MD and Scotia team members to build solutions into the planning output.
  4. Provide high-quality planning documents to regional advisors for further customization and presentation to clients.
  5. Participate in tracking opportunities derived from financial planning work to identify trends and support solution implementation.
  6. Stay up-to-date with financial planning topics, areas, and functions as set out by FP Canada/IQPF and MD Financials' policies and procedures.
  7. Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  8. Contribute to efficient operations and adhere to Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
  9. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Scotiabank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  10. Contribute to an inclusive work environment and high-performance culture.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a financial planner and/or client-facing advisor.
  2. Degree in business, commerce, or financial planning.
  3. Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent IQPF designation for Quebec residents.
  4. Demonstrated comprehensive financial planning experience.
  5. Life License (LLQP) for provinces other than Quebec; or title financial security advisor from Quebec or willingness to complete.
