Senior Financial Planner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planner to join our team at Scotia Wealth Management. As a key member of our Centralized Planning Group, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional financial planning experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive financial plans with varying levels of complexity, working closely with regional advisors.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client data, create tailored recommendations, and engage with MD and Scotia team members to build solutions.
  • Provide high-quality planning documents to regional advisors for further customization and presentation to clients.
  • Participate in tracking opportunities and trends to support the implementation of solutions within MD/Scotia.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial planning topics, areas, and functions as set out by FP Canada/IQPF and MD Financials' policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a financial planner and/or client-facing advisor.
  • Degree in business, commerce, or financial planning.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent IQPF designation for Quebec residents.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive financial planning experience.
  • Life License (LLQP) for provinces other than Quebec; or title financial security advisor from Quebec or willingness to complete.
