Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to join the RBC Global Asset Management team. As a Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for investigating and troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring software solutions and data integration batch jobs, and supporting in-house applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues using available resources and documentation.
  • Monitor and improve the availability of software solutions and data integration batch jobs.
  • Support in-house applications using various monitoring tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation for incident resolutions.
Cybersecurity and IT Risk Analyst Responsibilities
  • Support GAM teams to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating policies and roles via manual access reviews or role recertifications.
  • Participate in reviews and investigations related to internal and external audit.
  • Promote organizational level remediation planning.
  • Engage in other projects such as coordinating and reviewing findings, remediations, business impact analysis, risk assessments, and contribute to developing strategies.
Requirements
  • Major in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with SQL, C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge of supporting Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Knowledge of supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, flexible approach to work, and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business users and technical individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting a trade floor environment.
  • Understanding of Active directory.
  • Understanding of trading systems such as Bloomberg/Reuters products.
