Job Title: Project Controls Specialist, Implementation

Aversan Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team in the System Engineering department. As a leading spacecraft manufacturing company, we provide advanced satellite systems and space mission solutions.

This position involves leading the design and analysis of satellite subsystems, including mechanical and electrical components, from mission conception through to operational deployment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mission development analyses, including link budgets, coverage analyses, geolocation accuracy, and pointing knowledge budgets.
  • Developing and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between major mission subsystems.
  • Reviewing subcontractor design materials to ensure compliance with requirements and system operational constraints (SOCs).
  • Developing satellite test procedures and overseeing their execution.
  • Participating in the verification and validation of mission activities, including on-orbit commissioning and routine operations.
  • Evaluating satellite electrical and RF performance.
  • Leading and supporting all program review stages, including EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.
  • Supporting Satellite Assembly Integration and Test activities.
  • Attending test reviews including TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR.
  • Overseeing satellite testing processes, including EGSE and test supervision.
  • Supporting In-Orbit Testing (IOT).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related field) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in design and testing of LEO/MEO satellite systems.
  • Experience with RF systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in satellite subsystem testing.
  • Ability to lead systems integration processes and perform qualification and acceptance testing of new designs.
  • Experience in leading and coaching technical teams.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
