Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at AGS Automotive Systems. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and remedying any electrical problems in the plant, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.
  • Repair and maintain production equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Navigate through emergency equipment breakdowns and process failures, using your strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Install and adjust new equipment or new parts to support growth and continuous improvement of production operations.
  • Develop, correct, and verify robotic path motions to ensure safety, quality, and equipment efficiency.
  • Maintain and repair building equipment, including air compressor systems, water treatment systems, lighting, and other essential systems.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant practical experience.
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as robotics (KUKA or ABB considered an asset).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled environment and maintain a tidy, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Proficient with Allen-Bradley 5000, 500, and Panel View Plus.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with CMMS programs would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume stamping and assembly environment would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with ABB and KUKA would be considered an asset.
