Job Summary

The Specialist, Initiatives will provide research, analysis, and guidance to respond to changing issues and trends in CMHC's operating environment. This role will contribute to the development of new policies, products, services, and systems, ensuring that client needs are met throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Research and Analysis
    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the housing finance industry.
    • Prepare comprehensive briefing notes and executive updates to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and Implement Initiatives
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new initiatives, products, and services.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Provide Guidance and Support
    • Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on housing finance-related matters.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry experts.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of five years of experience in housing finance, insurance, and/or product/program development.
  • Skills
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
