About the Role:
The Asset Superintendent is a key leadership position within School District #68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith), responsible for overseeing the district's assets and operations. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure the effective management of district resources, facilities, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of district assets, including facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Operations Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to district operations teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of services and support to schools and the community.
- Financial Management: Oversee the district's budget and financial planning, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with district policies and procedures.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with schools, the community, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve district goals.
- Decolonization and Indigenous Partnerships: Work closely with Indigenous communities and partners to develop and implement strategies that support decolonization and reconciliation.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leadership roles, with a strong track record of success in managing teams and achieving results.
- Asset Management: Strong knowledge and experience in asset management, including facilities, equipment, and supplies.
