Job Title: Welder

Avantis Marine North America Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Welder to work on various marine repair projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in welding.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Overtime required.
