Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at Avantis Marine North America Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal parts.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and working overtime as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Health care plan and group insurance benefits.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including marine environments, and will be required to work overtime as needed. The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to handle heavy loads.
