Job Title: Welder Specialist

Avantis Marine North America Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux core arc welding (FCAW)
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a marine environment
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Basic security clearance
