Job Title: Recreation Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a Recreation Therapy Assistant to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of recreation therapy programs to patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of recreation therapy programs
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Support physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans
  • Clean and maintain equipment, adhering to standardized safety practices
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use
  • Maintain supplies and inventory of equipment
  • Perform general clerical duties, including organizing and maintaining inventory
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Experience an asset
