Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at HAP Alaska-Yukon. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and serve drinks according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with serving tables, taking food and drink orders, and running food and drinks.
  • Organize and set up the workspace before, during, and after each shift, including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all bar equipment.
  • Promote menus and make recommendations to guests.
  • Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Operate a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage areas.
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
  • Must be able to assist with serving tables and running food/drinks.
  • BARS Training/Certification is an asset.
  • Minimum age of 19 years is required to serve alcohol in the Yukon.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Basic math abilities and ability to process financial transactions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and maintain attention to time constraints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
