Quality and Technology Supervisor

Reports To:
Senior Technology Manager, Core Infrastructure

Department:
Information Technology

Employment Type:
Permanent Full-Time

This role requires a minimum of two (2) designated, consecutive days in the office every other week, along with an additional fifth (5th) assigned day each month.

We encourage team members to work from the office more frequently than the minimum requirement, and some positions may necessitate more in-office presence.

We are seeking a Quality and Technology Supervisor to become a vital part of our IT Infrastructure team.

The Quality and Technology Supervisor will lead and oversee a diverse team that identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports IT solutions aimed at achieving strategic and operational business objectives.

This role will also manage and oversee a collection of technology assets within a specific platform, collaborating with business and IT stakeholders on the design and development of systems and applications that may interact with or rely on other platforms.

Furthermore, the position will be responsible for establishing and driving the technical strategy and roadmaps for a set of technology assets within the designated platform.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the technical vision and roadmap for assigned assets to enhance business outcomes.
  • Manage the technical roadmap and deliver milestones by collaborating closely with business, development, and operations teams.
  • Monitor, manage, and improve the technical health and performance of assigned assets.
  • Work with architects to develop the technology capability roadmap for assigned assets.
  • Guide the team in delivering high-quality solutions in a sustainable and optimized manner.
  • Identify, document, and continuously enhance end-to-end software development, quality, delivery, and support processes.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, guidelines, and principles by the team.
  • Oversee technology KPIs and prioritize tasks for assigned assets.
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, coaching, recognizing, mentoring, and evaluating team members.
  • Monitor team productivity, quality, and morale, and lead the team through process changes.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business technology.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field such as computer science, computer systems engineering, or software engineering.
  • Experience in designing, securing, and maintaining IaaS/PaaS cloud platform technologies.
  • Familiarity with automation, orchestration, and system configuration tools.
  • A growth mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to break down complex enterprise needs into implementable solution plans.
  • Strong analytical skills to review solutions for quality.
