Key Responsibilities

  • Performing comprehensive facility risk control evaluations.
  • Generating client-specific loss estimates (MFL) to support insurance program strategies.
  • Conducting thorough hazard identification and risk assessments at client locations.
  • Creating and delivering hazard awareness training.
  • Compiling insurance underwriting information reports.
  • Assessing and addressing recommendations from insurance providers.
  • Upholding and promoting Aon's values, vision, and business objectives through effective communication.
  • Encouraging a collaborative team culture across various groups within the Risk Control Department.
  • Contributing to the achievement of organizational goals by fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Risk Control is centered on the systematic identification, evaluation, and mitigation of diverse risk factors (such as fire, natural hazards, and liability) to minimize potential losses and enhance overall risk management costs. Risk Control Consultants engage with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, insurance engineers, brokers, and account executives on risk-related matters.

Qualifications for Success

  • A robust technical foundation is essential, ideally with an engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industries outside of insurance is highly valued.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Engineer in commercial property and casualty risk.
  • Familiarity with NFPA and/or FMG Datasheets related to fire protection.
  • Proficient verbal and written technical communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid understanding of digitalization, data, and analytics fundamentals.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously.
  • The capacity to analyze technical challenges incisively and provide cost-effective solutions is crucial.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
