Position Overview
Become a vital part of our organization as a Safety and Compliance Specialist. Are you an experienced professional in Health and Safety, dedicated to ensuring regulatory adherence and promoting ongoing enhancement? Do you thrive in offering expert guidance and support to a proactive management team? If this resonates with you, we invite you to explore this opportunity within our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, focusing on operations in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Work Location:Dublin
Working Hours:Standard hours, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:- Advise senior leadership and directors on HSE matters relevant to Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Assist in the maintenance and execution of the QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) management system across the regions.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, and aid business units during external ISO accreditation assessments (45001/14001).
- Investigate incidents and accidents alongside site management, recommending actions to mitigate future risks.
- Engage with regulatory authorities to support site management teams.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of contractors for various projects.
- Promote best practices within the industry to foster continuous improvement.
- Oversee the collection of environmental data for each site in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Provide insights to senior management regarding current and forthcoming QSHE legislation.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Experience in a Health & Safety management capacity
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
Certification as an ISO auditor
Strong understanding of current legislation and regulations, particularly in Ireland (with a foundational knowledge of UK and global safety standards)
A commitment to excellence and a drive to be a leader in the field
