About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Child Caregiver at JM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a family setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Household Management: Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Child Development and Education: Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and help them with homework.
  • Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children.
  • Transportation and Errands: Take children to and from school and to appointments, and perform other errands as needed.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to the children, and help them with their emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, time management, and patience.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a family setting, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note that this is not a condition of employment.

Language and Work Schedule
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, permanent position.
