We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our cross-functional team. You will be responsible for building, testing, and operationalizing backend RESTful applications using Laravel, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Vue, and React Native. Your passion for technology and commitment to delivering high-quality software systems will be essential in driving our mission to improve animal well-being and access to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure backend applications.
- Collaborate with product, UX design, user research, and data engineering teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in agile development processes.
- Define business and product requirements, assess technical feasibility, and drive solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to enhance team capability.
- Manage operational aspects of applications, including incident response and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in application design, development, and testing, preferably with Laravel.
- Proficiency in API development and database systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and automated testing.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in agile environments.
