Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in promoting workplace health, safety, and wellness for all staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and implementation of workplace health and safety programs
  • Conduct health assessments and provide medical care to staff members
  • Manage health and illness absence, including return-to-work programs
  • Investigate and manage adverse events
  • Develop and implement health promotion and wellness programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to staff members
Requirements
  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Diploma or certification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or COHN (C) designation or equivalent
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Health experience in an acute healthcare facility
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and applicable legislation (OHSA, WSIA, Human Rights, Privacy)
