Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at North York General Hospital. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting workplace health, safety, and wellness for all staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team to promote workplace health, safety, and wellness
  • Provide primary care and physically assess and manage various health conditions
  • Manage health and illness absence, adverse events, disease surveillance, and immunization
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide education and teaching
  • Support the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Diploma or certification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or COHN (C) designation or equivalent
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Health experience in an acute healthcare facility
