Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Frankly Coffee and Bistro is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our food preparation team, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed and supported to meet customer demands.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, providing support with housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Support social and labor market integration, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills development.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, promoting Indigenous workforce development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations, fostering cultural understanding and collaboration.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous staff.
