The primary responsibility of the water industry enforcement team is to address serious and complex performance challenges in the water sector.
As a Lead Environmental Compliance Officer, you will operate from one of our four enforcement hubs, overseeing the activities of water companies across England.
Reduce environmental violations.Manage local intelligence effectively.
Cultivate expertise in prevention, intelligence, and enforcement.
In this role, you will guide and assist your colleagues in compiling case files and leading intricate investigations into non-compliance within the water industry.
You will possess the ability to enhance team performance and share innovative approaches with your colleagues.
Policy and Management of Investigations:
Take ownership of cases and provide support to your team members.
Demonstrated experience with relevant legislation, including the Environmental Permitting Regulations and the Environment Act.
Significant background in the water industry is essential.
Familiarity with operating in an intelligence-led environment is required.
Must be adaptable and methodical with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience in liaising with legal professionals and partner enforcement agencies is necessary.
