Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team at SUPER 8 BY WYNDHAM. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Contact tradespersons for major repairs and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Repair and maintain appliances as needed to ensure that our facilities are equipped with the necessary equipment to provide a comfortable stay for our guests.
  • Conduct regular safety and security checks to identify and mitigate any potential risks or hazards.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance and integrity of our facilities.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and heavy lifting required.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks in tight spaces.
Requirements
  • Dependability and strong oral communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and guests.
  • Flexibility in job duties and ability to take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Good judgment and an organized approach to work to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Reliability in tasks and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
