At StandardAero, we are seeking a skilled Application Developer APEX to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will work closely with Business Analysts to evaluate user requirements for new or modified reports and accurately convert the specification provided into high-quality reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Review status of assigned tasks, consult with business experts and peers, and provide regular status reports to manager.
- Perform the full range of programming, testing, and debugging.
- Write units tests, functional tests, and developer integration tests.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, resilient, and secure code following industry-approved coding practices from frameworks including OWASP, NIST, SDLC, and PCI DSS.
- Follow change control processes and adhere to internal policies and procedures.
- Track and record daily activities. Provide weekly reports.
- Use internal applications to complete development assignments such as Microsoft Outlook, JIRA, and Microsoft Word.
- Assist with resolving production problems and user calls.
- Collaborate with other application development team members.
- Carry out special projects as assigned.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Post-secondary education in computer programming or computer science from University or recognized College.
- Knowledge of Oracle APEX and/or experience with Oracle SQL.
- Some knowledge of financial and business processes.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Experience with the software development life cycle and source control tools.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, Visual Basic.NET programming language, Oracle SQL, and MS SQL Server.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and are eager to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, Microsoft Outlook, JIRA, and Microsoft Word would be an asset.
